1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using MapleBill, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
MapleBill provides an online invoicing and billing management platform for Canadian freelancers and small businesses. Features include invoice creation, PDF export, client management, and payment tracking.
3. Your Account
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts in Canada.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate, complete information when registering.
- You may not share your account with others or use it for unlawful purposes.
4. Free & Pro Plans
MapleBill offers a Free plan (up to 5 clients) and a Pro plan at $12 CAD/month. Pro plan billing is handled by Stripe. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for partial months.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use MapleBill to:
- Send fraudulent or misleading invoices
- Violate any Canadian federal or provincial law
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
- Transmit malware or harmful code
6. Intellectual Property
MapleBill and its content (logo, design, code) are owned by MapleBill and protected by copyright. You retain full ownership of the invoice data and content you create.
7. Limitation of Liability
MapleBill is provided "as is." We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including lost revenue or data loss. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the last 3 months.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time from your settings page.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of MapleBill after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
